We can argue about the changes in NHL rules and shoot-outs and overtime, but in the end? This is still awesome: Marty Brodeur wins 40th with Devils' defeat of the Avs. Does Patrick Roy feel the record-holding ice beneath his skates cracking?

I know it was a good idea, in terms of fee management, for us to switch from separate phone, internet and cable tv providers to AT&T, which provides all in one bundle, but I hate the fact that we can't get the NHL CenterIce package now. Because I miss watching the Devils. *is spoiled*

General consensus is, unless Marty goes down with a catastrophic injury, he will break Roy's records. He's ahead of Patty now, when you consider where Patrick was at the same point in his career. *nods*

I don't watch the Devs as much as I used to; I'm a huge fan of Petr Sykora, so when he got traded to Anaheim, I switched to watching the Ducks. Now, of course, I watch the Pens. Heh. I've always liked the Devils, however. I really love to watch them just for Mike Emrick's play-by-play. He's brilliant!
