Ginny needed something completely obvious and in-her-face to get her to understand that Harry's for Draco now. She hasn't adjusted to it yet, but she has to confront it now. Maybe she (and he really) doesn't realize that he's in love with him yet, either, but there can be no doubt about desire and possession. And Molly's made it clear that Draco is now a part of her extended family, as well.
