+ I am easily amused: check out the Bracket of Evil

+ Austin City Limits festival tickets go on sale today. Lineup isn't available 'til the end of the month, though.

+ Steel Train, please to be touring somewhere not the West Coast with Ben Folds or Dashboard Confessional.

I'll probably wait for the line-up before I decide if I'm going to ACL. Last year the artists were mostly a bunch of the bands playing Bonnaroo minus some of the best ones, and there's not much on the Bonnaroo lineup this year that I care about.

This year's going to be a family trip - my dad and step-mom and half-sister all want to go. Uh. OK. WILL REQUIRE A FUCK-TON OF BEER AND THE SNEAKINESS TO GO HIDE AT OTHER STAGES WHEN I'VE HAD ENOUGH.

Last year I ended up mostly going to the stages I missed at Bonnaroo. Except Against Me!, who I see whenever possible. &TOM GABEL;

I saw Against Me! last year. I didn't really know them, just heard the name bandied around, but I somehow snuck up close. I was happily bopping along in my festival wear of dress + floppy hat + sandals when that mosh pit opened up DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. :/// I kinda wanted to join in, tbh, but I wasn't dressed for the occasion so I kept edging behind tall boys... who would pretty much immediately decide to jump in the pit. sighsighsigh I thought I was gonna lose a toenail.

Ugh. I was too hot and dusty and tired to deal with them, so I inched away.

I think if I lived in Austin I'd probably not bother with the 3-day pass, and just go to the after-shows. But since I have to drive from Houston and find a place to stay, I want to have the ticket beforehand.
