half-way through the day

The fandom crack flowing through my veins (along with a pot of coffee) is the only thing keeping me upright now. My exchange fic is due today, so I stayed up until 4am to finish it, and I had a 9am meeting. I was going to write the Lucius/Narcissa Regency romance thing for this fic exchange, but was completely uninspired to write in the HP fandom for most of the last two months. Then I had this idea for a story about Seamus. But it had to be at least R-rated, given the constraints of the exchange, and I couldn't make it work. So last night I tried and tried and wrote and deleted, and finally just reeled out a thousand words of pointless het smut. Not inspired, but it meets the requestor's specifications and the community's rating requirement.

And then, in the midst of writing, a cracked-out plot bunny bit:

J², "connectile dysfunction", Jared reads/writes SPN fanfic (specifically Wincest) but Jensen doesn't know

Jared-in-my-head just logged onto LJ on Jensen's laptop, not realizing that Jen has the autofill/autosave option selected because he's horrible about remembering passwords and such.

Must. Finish. Experiments.

And this is not helping me concentrate.

At first, maybe. But there's the whole "they're fictional characters, Jen" argument that Jared will use. Plus the hot sex. And Jen'll probably get over it. With a bit of help. :D

Experiments are done now. And maybe once I had my cells fixed and stained and counting in the automated FACS, I sat with some scratch paper and wrote instead of diligently watching the data as it was collected. I'm on it. ;)
