my day's off to a decent start, how's yours?
1. Coffee and bagel waiting when I came downstairs.
2. Voicememo happy birthday from J in my inbox.
3. Email from Mom noting exact moment of birth for timely celebration.
4. A promise of adobo chick-pea patties and salad for dinner (my choice!) tonight.
It is raining like MAD right now, and I am curled up comfortably on the sofa with coffee and cat and Democracy Now. I am tempted to take a mental health day, since I have >60 sick days accrued.
*sigh*
But there're cells to feed and blots to develop, so I suppose I'll drag myself into the shower directly. (Or I could just go dance in the rain for a bit. That actually sounds sort of appealing at the moment.)
